RainTrack

Rainfall Station
Model RainTrak
The RainTrak is Hydrological Services innovation for total rainfall solution.

The unit consists of a Tipping Bucket Raingauge mounted on a 2” BSP pipe and a stainless steel enclosure that encloses a data logger, a GSM or PTSN modem and a 12VDC battery. Battery charging is via 5 watt solar panel.

One of the main features of the RainTrak is the ability to access the rainfall data remotely. If using a GSM modem the unit must be loaded with a data enabled MINI SIM which must be purchased by the customer from a local mobile phone supplier. If a PSTN modem is supplied then a telephone line must be available on site. The user can simply dial the number from a local PC connected to a modem and by using HyperTerminal software or the WinComlog software one can initialise a communication with the logger and download the rainfall data or update the firmware on the logger if required.
